Beautiful work on the soft shading, especially on the neck scales. Love the markings and design too. Improvements-wise, I think it needs slightly tighter/more detailed painting round the eye and face, to draw attention to it. I would also suggest experimenting with using different shadow colours, rather than just darker shades of the main colour, which will add depth.
